The R. David Thomas Center at Duke is fully equipped to accommodate persons with hearing, visual, and mobility disabilities. There are four handicap guest rooms.

All public areas are fully wheelchair accessible; the public telephones and the desk at check-in are at the appropriate height. Guest room, elevator, and directional signs are in Braille.

Listening assisted devices for classrooms are available. All telephones have amplifiers. There is a TTY (TDD) telephone in the public area and one available for a guest room.

Central/ Voice reservations: call either 800-443-3853 or 919-490-0999 and ask for room reservations. Tell the reservation agent the meeting name "American Society of Health Economists" or group code #107969, and provide the meeting dates "June 21-25, 2008." The reservation agent will request name/ address/ phone/ email and a credit card to guarantee the reservation. A confirmation will be given over the phone.

Online Reservations: Make a reservation with the Washington Duke Inn’s reservation system. The screen will open to the page for ASHE reservations, and you should fill in the blank with dates of arrival and departure, selection of room type and fill in contact information. A credit card will be required to make the reservation and an online confirmation given.
